Printing

Some of the printing service providers I have used in the past are Staples, OfficeDepot, FedEx, Vista Print, Costco, Walmart, and Walgreens. You might also have other local options available.

At some of these providers, you can order online and pick up your prints in-store (saves the shipping fee and shipping time) or you can have them delivered to your home if that is your preference. Some places such as Office Depot and Walgreens offer 1-hour poster printing, which is super helpful for those of us who live on the edge or for last-minute ideas.

It’s super simple to order:

  1. Go to their website
  2. Look for poster printing
  3. Choose your poster size
  4. Upload your file (most places accept either JPG or PDF files)
  5. Choose the paper type you would like
  6. Checkout!

Poster Size

The size you select should depend on how you would like to display your sign or seating chart and how many tables you have. The image below will give you an idea of how big some of the most common sizes look when printed.

All printing services providers don’t offer the same sizes or pricing. Be sure to check the sizes available before you purchase your template size to make sure it will work out for your needs.

The most frequently ordered sizes are 16x20in, 18x24in, 20x30in, 24x36in
and A1, A2

Paper Type

If you want the seating chart or welcome sign to stand on its own on an easel (without a frame), you have to print it on a poster board or foam board. Otherwise, you can have it printed on any poster paper and put it in a nice frame. Most printing service providers will have matte & glossy paper among other options.
